Catherine A. Ward-Bortner has been a resident of Shohola, PA, for thirteen years along with her husband, Rolf, and their son, Robert, who is thirteen. Prior to this she lived in New York City and after obtaining her B.F.A. from Pratt Institute, worked in the Fashion Industry for fifteen years. Currently, she is a Montessori teacher employed by The Homestead School in Glen Spey, NY. " Bearing Hearts" is her second Bear project for the Black Bear Film Festival. Her philosophy: Open your heart and the world will change for the better. She is thrilled and honored to be a part of the Festival again.
