I’d like to submit this letter that I wrote to Jerry Beaver and the rest of the Black Bear Film Festival organizers as a public "Thank You" for their holiday gift to the community – the movie The Majestic, shown at the Milford Theatre between Dec 21, 2001 and Jan. 3rd, 2002.

"Dear Jerry,

Let us thank you for a wonderful experience. We were at the theater on Thursday evening when the projectionist had a problem. Missy let everyone in the theater, telling us the problem and that if it was fixed we should come out and pay. So over 30 people sat around waiting, everything fixed they all marched out, paid, returned and sat without a peep to watch the movie. All kept their coats on to keep out the cold dampness and no one complained. As they left at the end everyone talked about how good the movie was and said goodbye.

How many places can one go to today and see a scene like that happen. Surely not in a big city.

So thanks to everyone that got the theater going, got the film, (just right
for the theater) and to providing what people seem to need. Hats off."
