Volunteers are especially needed right now to help man the Black Bear Film Festival booth at the Peters Valley Craft Fair this weekend on Saturday and Sunday, Sept 24-25th, at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta, NJ. Purpose is to hand out brochures and sell Festival merchandise (you will not be selling tickets.) Shifts start at 8.30am for setup and end at 5pm. Four hour shifts are especially helpful. If you can help with your time this weekend, call the Festival office at 570.409.0909 or email info@blackbearfilm.com. If you have already signed up to help out at Peters Valley and do not know what time you are scheduled for, please call or email.
Always wondered what it's like to volunteer at the Film Festival? The Black Bear Film Festival will gather more than 100 volunteers for 2005 to help with everything from ticket-taking to transportation. If you want a behind-the-scenes role, apply to be part of the team. Go to online Volunteer Form.
If you'd like to volunteer for the BBFF and can't make the meetings, please email to let us know.
MANY THANKS TO ALL OF YOU WHO HELPED MAKE THE 2004 FESTIVAL A GREAT ONE!
It is through the hard work and dedication of volunteers that the Black Bear Film Festival is able to hold the Film Festival each year. Approximately 100 full and part-time volunteers will be needed for 2005. Volunteers form the backbone of the Black Bear Film Festival, helping out in all areas from Accounting to Technical Operations to Ticket Taking. They often work long hours, but in exchange, they become part of Black Bear, getting a chance to see some films and perhaps to glimpse some of the new filmmakers behind the work on screen.
Although positions are generally offered first to returning volunteers, we more than welcome applications from new candidates. IF YOU ARE A RETURNING VOLUNTEER, PLEASE CONTACT US. We don't have the manpower to individually contact everyone from the past , so make sure we know you want to work again this year.
If you are not currently on our email list for notification of meetings and other news, please email us and ask to be added to our email list.
Meeting are usually held on designated Saturdays at 10.30 am.
Everyone is always welcome to Volunteer Meetings even if you've never been involved before.
If you'd like to volunteer for the BBFF and can't make the meetings, please email to let us know.
